What shipped in Joplo

Releases of the open-source joplo CLI and of Joplo Cloud, newest first.

Joplo Cloud

Latest

Sign in with Google or GitHub

No new password to remember, and you can sign in with one tap right on the joplo.app home page.

  • New

The sign-in and sign-up pages let you continue with a Google or GitHub account.

  • New

On the joplo.app home page, visitors already signed in to Google can sign in to Joplo with one tap and land straight in the console.

  • Improved

If your Google email matches an existing account, you're signed in to that account. A GitHub account is linked to an existing account with the same email only when GitHub reports that email as verified.

joplo 0.2.4

Embeds, review builds and joplo feedback

The CLI side of embeds and reviews: publish a review build, pull review decisions back for your agent, and publish from CI with an API key. 0.2.3 was never published on its own; its changes ship here.

  • New

Published sites have an embed mode: a cover first, then a compact control bar for stepping and full screen. share generates the cover image and prints a Markdown badge and embed code.

  • New

npx joplo share --review publishes a review build with every option. It gets its own link and never replaces the main link in your README; rules and questions never end up in any uploaded file.

  • New

npx joplo feedback lists decisions not yet applied and unresolved comments. After the agent updates the source and runs check, --applied marks the decisions as applied.

  • New

With JOPLO_API_KEY set, every cloud command uses the API key and skips the device login, which suits CI and scripts.

  • New

--pr sends pull request details to the cloud. Once the Joplo GitHub App is live, the PR gets a preview comment and the link expires when the PR closes.

  • Improved

Better-looking demos: captions are re-laid out and show the speaker, every scene has a cover, and transition cards fill the stage. With many layers, the tabs stack up like bookmarks.

Review links, votes and decisions that flow back

Send a demo out for review, collect feedback and decide in one place, then let your agent update the source. API keys launch too. PR previews are built and open once the GitHub App is live.

  • New

Create a review link in the author view, send it to your team and revoke it any time. A regular share link only shows the demo; the options, rules and open questions are visible only through the review link.

  • New

Reviewers click Feedback on the side to comment. The version, scenario and step are recorded automatically, and they can point at an element on screen.

  • New

Signed-in users get one vote per feature and can change it. Counts are visible to everyone, and votes never pick an option for you.

  • New

Under Decide, the author picks options, confirms or rejects rules (a rejection needs a reason) and answers questions. Every decision is recorded and can be withdrawn.

  • New

Your agent gets the decisions and comments not yet applied with npx joplo feedback, and marks them as applied after editing the source.

  • New

Create keys for CI and scripts under Settings → API keys: scoped permissions, 30, 90 or 365 days, revocable any time. The full key is shown only once.

Embed demos in blogs, docs and READMEs

Shares from every account can be embedded. Embeds show a cover until a visitor clicks play, and they can go full screen.

  • New

Web iframe: a cover with a big play button, then a compact control bar and full screen.

  • New

GitHub / Markdown badge: shows the demo's title and status in your README and opens the share page.

  • New

Link cards: paste a share link into a chat app or social network and it shows the title and cover image.

  • New

A new Embed dialog in My shares and the author view, with iframe, badge and link tabs, a live preview and one-click copy.

  • Improved

When a free share expires, its embed and badge show “expired”, and the author can still find the way to restore it from the embed.

joplo 0.2.2

Slimmer fonts on published sites

Each share uploads far less, so even the first publish is faster.

  • Improved

Published sites only ship the font slices your demo actually uses, taking the runtime from about 26 MB to about 2 MB. The default fonts still work offline.

  • Improved

LXGW WenKai no longer ships with published sites; the board loads it from a CDN only when you pick it, and falls back to the system Kaiti font.

Joplo Cloud

Joplo Cloud is live

npx joplo share now has a home: sign in, publish to a joplo.app/s/… link, and manage your shares at cloud.joplo.app.

  • New

Share links on joplo.app/s/…. Free accounts get links that last 1 hour; Pro links are permanent.

  • New

npx joplo login signs in through the browser: confirm the code at cloud.joplo.app/device, no password in the terminal.

  • New

My shares on cloud.joplo.app lists every share with its status and time left. Copy, open or delete a link from one table.

  • New

Expired links tell viewers what happened. Authors can sign in to republish, or upgrade within 7 days to restore the original link.

  • New

The website and the console speak the same ten languages as the Joplo board, with Simplified Chinese as the default.

joplo 0.2.1

The CLI connects to cloud.joplo.app

Cloud commands now use https://cloud.joplo.app by default. app.joplo.app, used by 0.2.0, is offline.

  • Improved

Default server is https://cloud.joplo.app. You can still point to another server with --server or JOPLO_CLOUD_URL.

joplo 0.2.0

Cloud commands and more expressive demos

Sign in and share from the CLI, tell multi-person stories in a demo, and use the board in ten languages.

  • New

New login, logout, whoami and share commands. Only these four talk to the cloud; local authoring, checks and builds stay complete and free.

  • New

Agents run share --format json. Without a login, non-interactive runs return AUTH_REQUIRED (exit code 3) and ask the user to run npx joplo login.

  • New

Transition cards for openings, endings, time jumps and role switches; multiple roles; streaming agent output with side artifacts.

  • New

Fork points, hand-drawn callouts and arrows, email and notification cards, a data and state layer, and a keystroke strip.

  • New

The board, player and published site support ten languages with a switcher in the top bar. CLI output and diagnostics are English only.

joplo 0.1.3

Board UI v1

A redesigned board: new tokens and brand, a rebuilt demo page, and the details and states around it.

  • Improved

New design tokens and controls: warm grey surfaces, yellow only for what is current or the main action, no shadows inside pages.

  • Improved

Appearance is split into palette, typeface and stroke, picked from a popover that applies immediately.

  • New

Details and states: hover hints, play progress, missed clicks, scene complete, coverage gaps, export progress and narrow-screen collapsing.

  • Improved

Rebuilt home, full-screen mode, published site and phone pages.

joplo 0.1.2

Favicon fix

A small patch release.

  • Fixed

Fixed an unescaped quote in the favicon data URI.

joplo 0.1.1

Packages move to @joplo-app

The npm scope changes from @tokenroll to @joplo-app.

  • Improved

Packages are now @joplo-app/kit, /core, /cli, /server and /web. The entry package is still joplo; projects import from @joplo-app/kit.

joplo 0.1.0

Joplo on npm

The first release you can install with npx.

  • New

The joplo entry package ships a prebuilt board, so projects no longer need the Joplo repository.

  • New

npx joplo init creates a project with pinned versions and prints the next steps for your package manager.

  • New

The CLI checks for Node.js 22+ and warns when the project's @joplo-app/kit version differs from the CLI.
